Last month, I was lucky enough to be invited along to a Cupcake Masterclass at the brand new Cupcake Central Melbourne Central store. It was a fun filled couple of hours where we learnt how to bake cupcakes and then got a chance to ice them.

Cupcake Central is the creation of Sheryl and Tin and you can read about Sheryl’s inspiring story in the Melbourne Weekly. You can really taste the difference in Cupcake Central cupcakes, as Sheryl only uses real, quality ingredients and all the cupcakes are always baked fresh each day.

How gorgeous are those babycakes! They look delicious, too. Glad to know that they pride themselves on using real, quality ingredients. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve tried pretty-looking cupcakes only to be disappointed by a commercial, plastic-y flavour!

Oh, what’s that feeling creeping up on me? Oh yes. Envy. Canberran-food-blogger-looking-on-at-Melbourne-blogger-fun envy. I know it well 😉

Hehe, I’m sure Canberra food bloggers have lots of fun too… or else you need to move to Melbourne, or at least visit more often 🙂

It sounds so much fun! I think I should join you guys in one of these sessions. Lovely that we could experiment ‘new flavour’ perhaps? LOL

Fun reading it. Thanks April.

Fantastic, April! I admit I have passed Cupcake Central a million times, and not gone in… and for one reason: I feared they might be like some of the other cupcake places around, where they look much prettier than they taste!

But, I trust your judgment and with your endorsement I think I’ll have to make room for one of those chai latte ones! Yumm

I fear wasting my money on a dry, tasteless cupcake, but Cupcake Central’s cupcakes aren’t like that all. It’s worth giving it a go! Would be interested to see what you think.
