Some combinations are just meant to be… like cookies & cream, wine & cheese and gin & tonic! Cadbury’s new Bar of Plenty puts together two flavour combinations it believes are meant to be and covered it all in its signature smooth and creamy Cadbury Milk milk chocolate.

Bar of Plenty - Both blocks

When Nuffnang asked if I wanted to try Cadbury’s new Bar of Plenty, how could a chocolate lover like me resist?! The new chocolate bars come in pretty purple Willy Wonka-esque packaging and with two different flavours – berry fruit & vanilla shortcake, and roast hazelnut & honey roast cashews.

The chocolate bars certainly live up to their name of ‘Bar of Plenty’ with plenty of ingredients packed into the 190g bar. The berry fruit & vanilla shortcake chocolate bar is filled with soft summer berries and crunchy biscuit pieces. The flavour and texture combination is unlike any other chocolate bar I have had before – a must try!

The roast hazelnut & honey roast cashews chocolate bar combines two of my favourite nuts into the one bar. Why choose between hazelnut and cashew chocolate when you can have both at the same time?! There is a faint taste of honey in the chocolate, but a whole lot of nuttiness. I really liked it.

Safeway, not Woolworths. There is a pain in my heart when a fellow Victorian will call it Woolworths… 🙁

These sound amazing. I have been wanting to try them for a while now!

I love chocolate because it's so incredibly versatile. You can melt it, bake with it, use it as a topping, dip almost anything in it, drink it, have it with coffee. The list goes on and on. It is the perfect compliment to so many types of food and flavours. The amazing taste infuses ones emotions to compliment any occasion.

Hi Anonymous: Actually Safeway has been rebranded Woolworths in Victoria now… at least at all the ones I go to! Take a look next time!

My day just, would not be complete with a little bit of chocolate. Like really, I feel like I'm going through withdrawels if I dont have it! I cant quite put into words why, I simply love it!

Chocolate is AWESOME in many ways, but one that I heard a chocolatier say once was that chocolate melts at more or less the exact temperature of the inside of your mouth. If that relationship isn't meant to be I don't know what is!

I love chocolate not only because I'm a girl (yes this is a valid reason-all those girls know what I mean!), but because of the way it makes me happy. The sensation of chocolate melting in your mouth is so sensual and it goes with so many other foods-sweet and savoury. A square a day is good for your health-dark provides antioxidants, but I say a square of any chocolate a day can greatly improve your mood. I could not live without chocolate!

I love chocolate because it helps me work out harder at the gym. Seriously, it helps! So it's a win-win, really.

OK, I also love it when I'm sitting on the couch, so maybe it's not just the caffeine factor.

My favourite has always been cadbury Fruit and Nut, but these new flavours look pretty tasty!

I love chocolate because dark chocolate is good for fixing headaches (and other minor aches) and tastes nicer than panadol. And when there is no real food in the house a square or two of chocolate will tide me over until I can go shopping.

When all else fails, chocolate is always there to save the day :). In fact think I need some right now!

I'm in love with chocolate because I honestly can't imagine living without it. If that's not love, what is?

I am in Love with chocolate because "Chocolate just make my Day" 😀

I'm in love with chocolate because it's high in magnesium – that makes it almost a health food. Right? Right??

My Food Safari September 14, 2010 at 7:29 pm

I love Cadbury because it's dark and creamy and melts smooth in the mouth. Cadbury Old Jamaican is my all time favourite.
