Winter is fast approaching (though it already feels like it has arrived!) and what better way to kick off the new season than with a visit to this year’s Good Food & Wine Show. The Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show is on from Friday 4 June to Sunday 6 June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

I went last year and had a great time. There are hundreds of food and wine exhibitors, most with free samples on offer and specials that are only available at the show. It really is a foodies’ paradise!

The major drawcard last year was Gordon Ramsay, and this year the cooking demonstrations in the Celebrity Theatre are on again, with chefs such as Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris (from Masterchef) and Manu Fieldel and Pete Evans (from My Kitchen Rules).

Other highlights include the Sunbeam Academy, where you can take a home barista class or a cupcake decorating class. New for 2010 is the Lindt Chocolate Masterclass where you can discover the art of appreciating fine chocolate under Swiss born Master Chocolatier, Thomas Schnetzler. There are also old favourites such as the Cheese Matters Masterclass and wine tasting in the Riedel Wine Theatre.

For more information or to purchase your tickets, visit the Good Food & Wine Show website. Thanks to the Reputation Group, I have two double passes worth $57 for the Melbourne show, including a Celebrity Theatre ticket to a show of your choice, to give away to two lucky readers. All you have to do is comment below and tell me what you are most looking forward to at this year’s Good Food & Wine Show. The competition closes at the end of Friday 28 May 2010 and I will notify the winners on Saturday 29 May.

If you don’t have blog which lists your email address, please also email me so I can contact you if you are a winner. You can also use your Twitter handle so I can DM you. Good luck!

Over & Out, April xx

Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to the Lindt Chocolate class. However, what I'm really looking forward to is witnessing George Calombaris' wild yelping in person. I hope that when he does his demonstation, he is as psycho as he is on Masterchef. If I don't see him go googly-eyed like on TV I will be disappointed.

Oh, and did I mention the chance to eat like a king and drink like a fish as something else I look forward to? No, I guess I didn't.

I'm not sure if I am looking forward to the good food or the good wine. Oh – that's right, I am looking forward to BOTH 🙂

I've lived in Melbourne for so long but I've never been to one before. But I would absolutely enjoy all that it has to offer as I love food and cooking and love learning more.

Hi there, I love to cook though I am very bad at it! My best customer is my lovely wife which had to put up bad dishes at times. Trust that from this, I can pick up a few tricks and prepare some good dishes to impress her. She simply adores dessert and what a better way to end a good meal with Lindt inspired dessert?

I'm so hoping u chose me to be the winner I would have
