The Cookbook Challenge: Week 9 Berry theme round up

This week’s Cookbook Challenge theme was berry, a perfect theme for the abundance of good quality, well priced berries around at the moment. Berries to me are so pretty and have plenty of uses, though Shellie surprised me with her use of berries in a savoury meat dish!

I could not find any savory recipe with berries in my cookbooks! and I did not want to make a sweet one as I am really trying to stay away from sweets after the holidays extrafoodganza!
Shellie, I will make that recipe it sounds soo good!

Welldone everyone. Hey Rilsta, I was at Sogo food section, and then i saw a long queue so i went to peek on what they are queuing for, apparently the shipment for japan strawberry just arrive. i din really look at the price, it was 16 most gorgeous looking colour strawberry, so i just grab one went to cashier and she say 110 Hkd, i was like "whatttttt" .i foolishly paid as there is so many ppl waiting to pay.

Hi Yours Truly: Hehe, yes, berries are always used in sweet dishes so Shellie's dish is unusual!

Hi Arale79: OMG!! $110HKD for 16 strawberries! I hope you really savoured them one by one!! That's almost $1 AUD for each strawberry!!
