The Cookbook Challenge: Help with hor d’oeuvres

It seems like a few people are struggling with this week’s theme of hor d’oeuvres. Maybe I should have renamed it “finger food” or “canapes” because that’s what hor d’oeuvres are! You know when you go to a wedding or a cocktail party and there are waiters walking around with trays full of bite sized pieces of food? They are hor d’oeuvres!

You don’t need a special cookbook for hor d’oeuvres. They are just individual small portions of food. You can adapt your recipes into smaller bite sized serves. Some examples might be mini sausage rolls, small sushi rolls, mini curry puffs, proscuitto wrapped cheese, small dumplings or meatballs… the list is endless!
