Cupcake Quest – Basic Recipe No. 4

in Baking, Cupcakes

Fellow foodblogger Stephcookie let me know of her treasured foolproof basic cupcake recipe as part of my cupcake quest. She embarked on a similar quest a year ago and this has become her go to recipe. You can find her original recipe here.

I was curious to taste the end product, which uses freshly squeezed orange or mandarin juice instead of the usual milk as the liquid. As promised, these were moist and crumbly with a golden top and hardly any citrus taste. These seemed more crumbly than my basic recipe no. 3, but it could be due to the way I mixed the batter. A great recipe though, thanks for sharing Stephcookie!

Over & Out, Rilsta xx

Awesome! So glad you liked them, thanks for giving it a go 🙂 It is a fairly crumbly recipe, but I guess I like mine quite crumbly, that's how I remember them when I was a kid hehe!

Another successful cupcake attempt. You should go on a frosting quest next!

Hey Rilsta I just heard about the RSPCA Cupcake Day and thought I'd pass on the details in case you didn't know about it and were interested!

Woo! Cupcakes!
