Ok, so I know that by making this post, most of you are going to think I am slightly Lindt obsessed, but I just happened to be at the right place at the right time! I was actually waiting at the Target checkout to pay for my book, when I look down and see this pastel green Lindt box staring back at me on the bottom shelf of all places!
This variety is also marked as limited edition but who knows how limited limited edition means? The flavour of this one is called “Milk and White”, milk chocolate with a delectably smooth white chocolate centre. The balls themselves are more of a highlighted green colour with pretty yellow and white flower prints on them!
The balls taste much like Cadbury’s Top Deck, milk and white chocolate in one, nothing out of the ordinary. The white chocolate centre is actually soft even though the weather is cold. I find that the centres of the milk chocolate balls are always hard unless they have been sitting in warmer temperatures. It is only then that you get the oozing of chocolate of the centre.
I was telling my hubby that he needs to learn to let the chocolate melt in his mouth and slowly suck on it to truly enjoy its flavour. This was what I was told by chocolatiers in Switzerland. So what does he do? Puts the whole thing in his mouth and starts chewing! Good quality chocolate is wasted on him!
The white chocolate is the dominant taste and as I prefer milk chocolate, I’ll be sticking to the red box. I think I need to stop with the Lindt purchases now – I still come back to the plain milk chocolate one!
Over & Out, Rilsta xx
