Kitchen Gadget: The Cupcake Courier

I ordered a Cupcake Courier online and it arrived the other day. I read many raves about the courier on various forums and thought it was such a good idea to transport cupcakes and the like. You can also use the trays to display the cupcakes on a table. It originated from the US and sales rocketed once it appeared on Oprah.

Here’s the thing… I have never made a cupcake in my life!! Haha, I’m so terrible aren’t I?! Once in a while I get drawn in to buy something which I think will come into good use but it ends up sitting in the cupboard collecting dust! I told myself this was a good buy because I have gotten into the whole baking thing and it will come in handy. It was also a good buy because there are other versions for sale which are more expensive and only carry one tray of cupcakes. Kind of a false economy hey?! It’s not a good buy if you never use it!

Well, now that I have put it out there, I ought to try to make my first cupcake (and put it in the courier even though it’s not going anywhere except for my mouth). I might as well kill two birds with one stone and use my Nigella cookbook, How to be a Domestic Goddess, for the first time. I spotted a cupcake recipe in there.

Over & Out, Rilsta xx

I’ve been eying one of these for ages. I’ve been hmmming and arrring about it forever, at least 5 weeks. It be so handy for me considering I’m in this cupcake challenge. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for it and where did you get it?

Good luck with the cupcake baking. Once you bake one, you’ll never go back to regular cakes. hmmmm….yummmm cupcakes!

I think you would so make the courier worthwhile with all the beautiful cupcakes you make!

I got it online from http://www.thecupcakecourier.com.au and it was $64.95 delivered.

If you have a tj maxx or home goods store near you, I would look there. I purchased the the original one in sky blue for 20.00 dollars.

Hi Anonymous: Unfortunately I am in Australia and that means we end up paying a lot more for US made goods than in the US!

Hi Iron Chef Shellie: You can't go past a white one! I have no space in my kitchen for it so it's currently in the study!

Interesting post you got here. It would be great to read something more about this topic. The only thing I would like to see on that blog is a few pictures of any gizmos.
